"The sound started, and I was in an utter state of euphoria, I was saying 'Wow! This sounds like Halo. I want to see it, I want to see it! So... I saw it.' YES! was the word I responded over and over again. The graphics where spot on, and brought some tears of joy. It brought back a nostalgic embedded I want to play Starcraft all night feeling." Galactic Menace
In the 24th century, humanity is racing towards the vastness of space on the wings of hope, moving away from a deadly menace emerging from the galactic core, a threat of cosmic proportions that could lead to the extinction of all life, the second Big Bang. In this time of turmoil, a mysterious alien race with powers beyond imagination follows them everywhere into the darkest depths of space.
But mankind is unwilling to surrender to the enemy and, with little help from their unexpected alien friends, a renegade faction of the Argo, they successfully rise against the mighty fleet which already assimilated dozens of worlds in its galactic war through the galaxy. As the balance of power shifts between the two warring species, we cannot help but ask ourselves what caused it and... will it ever end?
Search for Home
Mankind, struggling to survive in a race against time, ventures deep into space, where unknown predators are waiting. Only the Space Force can lead the last human colony to the depths of hell to safety. But with what sacrifices?
Each story of a game is a destination unknown, a journey with ups and downs, victories and losses, that ultimately allows us to discover not only the designer's world, but more importantly, ourselves.
They say fate controls our lives and that the future is already written. It is also said that life is a blessing coming from the Gods above. For hundreds of years we have searched for the answer to an eternal question: Are we alone? The question was left unanswered through ages... Humankind overlooked its astral dreams to encounter another sentient species, overlooked its eagerness to go behind familiar grounds. And when the Terrans were finally forced to leave the Colonies and venture far into space, many challenges and dangers awaited them. As out there, in the dark, the watchful eye of the Argo - an alien species set to destruction of all sentient life - keeps a close eye on them, no matter where they would *jump* next.
In October 8, 2482, all eligible population from within the Fifteen Colonies was evacuated and embarked into specially designed crafts with a destination known only by few. The Space Force was forever abandoning its home world to escape the great menace emerging from the middle of our galaxy. A chain reaction of exploding novas developed in the galactic core, expanded and dragged many stars into its grasp. At the time of the fleet's departure there were less than 100 years left for us. The Space Force carries with it the memories of billions who were left behind. But this is not the only problem we're facing...
Lewis Hays is a newly promoted Captain with few dreams and quite a boring life. A man of the past, he joined the Space Force only to seek revenge for the murder of his wife Eve, and to keep him busy with work most of the time. However, when the opportunity arrives, he will learn that behind the comfort of revenge, there's more than he would ever imagine. With great power comes great responsibility, thus Hays finds himself in positions where he has to make tough choices that will affect the entire course of the future, the future of us all.
In doing so, Hays would assure the survival of his kind throughout the galaxy, until the final destination is reached: a planetary system in Cygnus arm, known as Day'lee to Shan Ad'een, the ruler of the Argo.
Galactic Dream: Rage of War is NOT a story about heroes; it is about the less fortunate among us BECOMING heroes. This is not a story about saving the world, but rather saving a part of it to ensure its continuity. Lewis Hays never asked for this huge responsibility, but has no other choice... Though one's courage does not lie in his lack of fear, but rather in immediate reaction and doing what's right based on the unwritten laws of life.
We do not know or fully comprehend what exists in the vastness of space, or maybe there is no need for us to comprehend such things. However, sometimes we understand, with crystal clarity what we have to do, why we're here and where we are going. Engage in epic galactic warfare, venture deep into space in a race against time. Play through a tale about choosing sides and about how one man can make a difference, despite all odds and obstacles facing him.
Galactic Dream: Rage of War is an epic adventure, a journey towards the unknown. The search for a new home is a noble adventure indeed, but what happens when that search becomes so vital that humans no longer find another home world, but instead they forget the very nature of being human?
